Management and Leadership Experience

• PI on EPSRC EU and Industry Research grants and contracts totalling more than £30 million, including a £2 million JIF award for the refurbishment of the CVSSP research laboratories at the University of Surrey (the only major grant awarded by JIF in ”soft” Information Technology in the UK) and a £6m EPSRC Programme Grant in face recognition 2016-2020

• Director CVSSP till 2011. Responsibility for research strategy, general and financial management

• Head, Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Surrey. Responsibility for managing 58 academic staff, more than 400 researchers.
